HOW WE CAME TO BE

Reported by the United Nations, fashion is the second-most-polluting industry globally, responsible for contributing 8-10% of global CO2 emissions and exploiting both labourers and landscapes.

In 2021, Canada’s domestic apparel market was valued at $12.7bn

However, the sustainable interest is there!

The Global Fashion Agenda found that 75% of fashion consumers viewed sustainability as extremely important, represented by a $6.3 billion ethical fashion market.

Although the demand for sustainable fashion is rising, there is a gap between sustainable brands available and consumer knowledge of said brands.

How did we solve this issue? Lente collates sustainable brands into one marketplace that is easy to navigate.

Users will be able to access environmental, social, governance information on existing sustainable fashion brands and then purchase apparel on the spot from certified sustainable brands!
